Meditation Tips by Sarah Daisy
A 20 Minute meditation 3-4 times a week can really help you cope with little stresses and everyday problems. It re-alines you and keeps your mind clear. It can be hard to shut out all the distractions when you are meditating, but don't worry too much about becoming completely at one with your self! This is more about getting a few moments to your self to gather your thoughts and process the day’s events.
Try to find 20 minutes in a quiet place,

Start by lighting your charcoal and sprinkling on your incense, then relax into your chair, feel each set of muscles from the top of your head to your toes, tensing and releasing as you breathe.
Sit in a chair with good back support and your feet on the ground. Make sure your hands are unclasped and relax your neck and shoulders, I find it helpful to breathe in for 4 counts, hold it for 4 counts and exhale for 4 counts, again, this does not need to be exact, find your own rhythm and regulate yourself as gradually as you need.
Try to focus on one word or image, the moon disappearing behind a cloud as you breathe in and reappearing from behind a cloud as your breathe out, anything that feels calming and pleasant will do.
Let your mind wander as you imagine your moon or river and feel the helpful oxygen re-fuelling you, if you fall asleep, don’t worry, it’s just you’re body needing a rest, keep trying the meditation, experiment with different music, and at different times of the day
Always make sure your back is supported and be ready to meet whoever you may encounter with a sense of humor and a willingness to learn.
